SVG Rugby Union hosts inter-schools day

Six schools – South Rivers Methodist, CW Prescod Primary, Barrouallie Government, Sugar Mill Academy, Clare Valley Government and St. Mary’s Roman Catholic, were part of last Saturday’s bi-annual inter-schools day.

 Staged at the Grammar School Playing Field, the over 50 budding rugby players were engaged in a series of rugby related drills and exercises.

 Thereafter, the players were involved in a series of tag rugby matches, pitting their skills against one another.

 The inter-schools day was held under the guidance of visiting volunteer coaches Max Cubitt and Jessica Pitts, as well as other local coaches, who lent their assistance.
