SVGCA Inc launches ‘Talk Cricket’

An initiative named “Talk Cricket”, has been launched by the St Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association (SVGCA) Inc.

According to the SVGCA Inc., Talk Cricket is “an initiative to encourage more writing and publication about cricket…. The intention is to have articles published more frequently on the website of the cricket association (www.svgcricket.org), which will create more considerable interest in the sport and increase the popularity.”

A release from the SVGCA Inc also informed that whilst the articles would have a SVG focus, they may also extend to regional and international issues.

Submissions will go through an approval process before publication, with authors given monetary compensation for their work.

“This initiative is two-fold in the sense that it gives individuals the opportunity to practice their writing skills while earning some extra dollars and obviously it helps with the promotion of cricket,” advanced president of the SVGCA Inc Dr Kishore Shallow.

The Talk Cricket undertaking by the SVGCA Inc coincides with the redo of the association’s website, which, from reports, is more user friendly and more attractive.
