Joseph to lead SVG in Windwards U-15 Cricket Tournament

Randy Joseph has been named captain of the St Vincent and the Grenadines team for this year’s Winlott Inc Super Six, Windward Islands Under-15 Tournament, set for here from December 10 to 17.

 Luke Wilson is the team’s vice-captain. The other members are Reshourn Lewis, Akeem Alexander, Newton Browne, Joe Williams, Devon Fisher, Omarion Ottley, Kedon Hackshaw, Keon Mc Millan, Shamur Peters, Coby Da Breo and Solomon Bascombe.

 The reserves are Cody Grant, Kirtney Franklyn, Jazad Farell, Trevian Matthews and Kamani Husbands.

 Joseph, Wilson, Da Breo and Bascombe were members of the team that played in the tournament held earlier this year in Grenada.

 The management team comprises Samuel Holder – manager, Bertram Stapleton – head coach, with assistant coaches Olanzo Jackson and Kenroy Martin.

 The tournament will be played at the Park Hill and Cumberland playing fields.

 The opening round of matches on December 10 sees four-time defending champions St Lucia taking on Grenada at Cumberland, while St Vincent and the Grenadines play Dominica at Park Hill.

 Second round matches, set for December 11, pit SVG versus Grenada at Park Hill and Dominica against St Lucia at Cumberland.

 With a break on December 13, the tournament resumes the following day, with St Vincent and the Grenadines meeting St Lucia at Cumberland, while Dominica meet Grenada at Park Hill.

On December 14, it will be Dominica against St Lucia at Park Hill, while SVG host Grenada at Cumberland.

SVG and St Lucia battle at Park Hill, along with Grenada and Dominica, in matches carded for December 16 and the tournament culminates the following day with SVG meeting Dominica at Park Hill and Grenada facing St Lucia at Cumberland.
