East Kingstown win  Inter-community  League Women’s Division


The senior women’s Division title of the SVGFF Inter-community League Football Competition was secured by East Kingstown.

They were ahead on goal difference when that segment of the tournament concluded last Thursday night at the Victoria Park.

East Kingstown and West Kingstown had played unbeaten from their three matches.

Both had played to a 3-3 draw when they met, while they both had triumphs over North Leeward, so it was left to last Thursday’s matches to decide the winner.

East Kingstown beat North Leeward 4-1, while West Kingstown outscored former winners of the competition South Leeward 3-1.

East Kingstown’s goals came from Aaliyah Anderson (2) and Nadia Peters and Kyla Ottley, one each. Shantica Charles scored North Leeward’s goal.

And, Hollister Browne, Cassian Cupid and Roxanne Hannaway all scored for West Kingstown. South Leeward’s items were put in by Jamiesha Gill.

West Kingstown was the defending champion.

Left to be decided are the Under-11, Under-16 and Under-18 divisions.
