National Inter-community Football League senior men’s division reaches semi-finals

The semi-finalists in the senior division of the SVGFF Inter-Community Football League have been decided.

They last four were decided recently, when the quarter-finals were staged.

First through were Calliaqua, who had a 2-1 win over West Kingstown.

Lezlo Mc Kenzie and Collin Joseph scored for Calliaqua, while West Kingstown were the beneficiaries of an own goal netted by Calliaqua.

Then, on Sunday, Barrouallie whipped last tournament’s losing finalists North Windward, 3-1.

Barrouallie’s goals came from Lenroy Fraser, Chavel Cunningham and Kelroy Layne, while North Windward’s lone response was registered by Shaville Barker.

 Sion Hill got past Diamonds 4-2. A brace from Dorian Dallaway and one each from Brad Richards and Juma Gilkes led Sion Hill’s tally. Deshawn Kydd netted both items for Diamonds.

And, Layou were clinical versus Central Kingstown, beating them 4-1.

Erel Hector had put Central Kingstown in front, before Myron Samuel hit two, then Shandell Samuel and Wendell Cuffy added to the come-from-behind win.

The semi-final match-ups pit Calliaqua against Barrouallie, while Sion Hill take on defending champions Layou.

Apart from the senior men’s division, ongoing are the senior women’s, females Under-14, the Under-11, males Under-16 and males Under-18 divisions.
