SVGFF observes CONCACAF Women’s Day

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation (SVGFF), last Saturday, played its part in joining the rest of the region in hosting the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Women’s Football Day.

The Campden Park Playing Field was the venue for the observation of the day, which was an all-female affair, with the theme of the event being “Every Girl Can Play”.

Consuming the day’s activities were football, athletics, Five-A-Side matches, foot volleyball, as well as dribbling and juggling skills displays.

Additionally, there were two full-size football matches.

This was the third edition of the CONCACAF Women’s Football Day, with the first held in 2015.

CONCACAF said that the observation to the day was “to shine a spotlight on efforts to create more opportunity for girls and women to play the game”.
