BOSVG All Starz stomping in TBPO Softball Cricket Competition

Bank of SVG All Starz put together another commanding performance, beating Combine Rangers by 108 runs in the NLA Top Belair Progressive Organization’s Softball Cricket Competition on Sunday, 8th October at the Dauphine Playing Field.

Despite the match being reduced to 10 overs because of rain, All Starz rattled up 138 for 4 from their overs.

Andrew Little stroked 47, Ron Adams, 25 and Killoni Julien, 21 not out.

Bowling for Combine Rangers, Rondell Carter took 2 for 21.

Combine Rangers were dismissed for 30 in 8.3 overs. Glenroy Dasent picked up 3 for 0.

Also on Sunday, Sion Hill Tallawahs got past Nice Radio Clinchers by 23 runs.

Sion Hill Tallawahs posted 111 for 7 from their 15 overs, as again rain affected proceedings. Kerwin Williams led with 24, while Donroy Fergus grabbed 3 for 18, bowling for Nice Radio Clinchers.

Okeiph Andrews hit 25 and Rohan Giles, 24, but their efforts with the bat were insufficient, as Clinchers were left at 89 for 8 from their 15 overs.

Doing the restricting job for Sion Hill Tallawahs were Shamic Roberts, taking 3 for 8, Kerwin Williams, 2 for 9 and Marlon Baptiste, 2 for 26.

Sunday’s other match ended in Just For the Fun winning on a faster scoring rate from Computec Older Boys.

Just For the Fun made 137 for 9 from their allotted 15 overs. Dave Duncan and Mick Pope both scored 21.

Bowling for Older Boys, Rudolph Davis snared 2 for 23 and Michael John had 2 for 28.

Older Boys were 19 for 2 from six overs, when rain ended the match.

It was a similar tale in Saturday’s fixtures, as the encounter between CGM Novice and Gomea Bombers was rained out without a ball being bowled, while the Dipcon Road Warriors versus Carib Top Shotters ended in a no-decision.

Top Shotters got to 45 for 6 from the maximum 10 overs possible, with Jamal Gould and Renford Jack taking 2 for 2 apiece.

Road Warriors were 19 for 0 from 2.3 overs when rain doused the venue.
