Teams better positions in Greiggs Softball Cricket Competition

Four teams – Street Fighters, RSVG Police, Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem, Warriors CC and Gairy’s Construction Simple Boyz, all bettered their positions last weekend, in the Hairoun Brewery, FLOW, Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem Greiggs T/20 Softball Cricket Competition for 2017.

Last Saturday, at the Greiggs central playing field, Street Fighters piled on 209 for 7 in their 20 overs.  Lenroy Dalzel top scored with 93 and Ricaldo Thomas, 66, while Keymo Browne grabbed 3 for 30.

 Shop For Less Clinchers #2 replied with 101 all out in 18 overs; Verol Bascombe hit 21, as Street Fighters won by a whopping 108 runs.

Also on Saturday, RSVG Police intercepted Bank of SVG All Starz by 40 runs.

RSVG Police posted 152 for 7 in their 20 overs. Desron Maloney top scored with 39 and Renrick Cato struck 35 not out.

Bowling for All Starz, Kelique Samuel snared 3 for 13.

Rod Adams then struck 68, but it was insufficient, as All Starz fell for 112 all out in 17.2 overs. Desron Maloney completed a good all-round performance, taking 3 for 19.

In Sunday’s first match, Extreme Strikers made 94 all out in 15.2 overs versus Nar Fren Dem.  Shanny Pope top scored with 34. Andre Bacchus took 3 for 16 and Keno Matthews, 3 for 28.

 Nar Fren Dem reached 99 for 4 in 11.3 overs, with Ceon Phillips hitting 76 not out.  Mick Pope took 2 for 1, as Nar Fren Dem won by six wickets.

Then Warriors CC registered a three-wicket win at the expense of Dr Thomas Injectors.

 Dr Thomas Injectors batted first and made 97 for 8 in their 17 overs, of which Wendell Corridon contributed 24.   

Warriors CC replied with 101 for 7. Kesron Ashton took 3 for 26, as Warriors CC trumped.

And, Simple Boyz defeated Bruce Law Chambers Smashers Inc by six wickets.

Smashers Inc were dismissed for 55 in 16.2 overs. Renrick Peters led with 14.  Jabari Cunningham took 3 for 10.

 Responding, Simple Boyz made 58 for 4 in 11.3 overs. Jabari Cunningham scored 18, while Kayneil Richards took 3 for 8.
