SVG Rugby Union gets two new coaches

Max Cubitt and Jess Pitts, both of England, are the two new coaches assigned to the St Vincent and the Grenadines Rugby Union.

They will be here on a six-month voluntary basis, assisting with the schools’ Get Into Rugby programme.

Also, Cubitt’s mandate is to prepare the senior SVG men’s team, as they get ready for the Rugby Americas North (RAN) Sevens tournament, set for Mexico in November.

Meanwhile, Pitts brings with her, brand new training methodologies, which she will introduce to the females, from next Monday, September 18, at the Sion Hill Playing Field.

Before the arrival of Cubitt and Pitts, the SVG Rugby Union had the services of Ruben Duque, who lent his expertise for the last four months of 2016.

Before him, there was Englishman Mike Jackson, who was here for six months, on a voluntary attachment.
