The outstanding footballers who showed their wares in this yearâs Hairoun Diamonds Village Football League, last Sunday were justly rewarded at the closing and presentation ceremony.
Keyon Lynch of second placed Caesarâs Real Estate Defenders was named Best Goalkeeper, while Brad Richards of Sparta FC took the Best Midfielder award.
Meanwhile Kendol Douglas of third place Youngsters FC got the nod as the Best Defender.
Romario Dennie of Caesarâs Defenders, got the Golden Boots Award, for scoring the most goals in the competition.
He also was the recipient of $200, for netting twice in the final against SV United. Ronaldo Edwards gained $100, for also registering a goal for Caesarâs Real Estate Defenders.
The cash awards to Dennie and Edwards were a fulfilment of a promise made by the teamâs sponsors, Caesarâs Real Estate.
And, Gerald Simmons of Caesarâs Real Estate Defenders was adjudged the Most Outstanding Coach.
Sixteen teams contested this yearâs competition.
