Age group titles decided in National Football Club Championships

The age group titles of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation’s National Football Club Championships were declared last Sunday at the Victoria Park.

When the final whistles were sounded, the results showed that the Under-11 and Under-15 Divisions had been secured by the System 3 Sports Academy and the Under-19 taken by Avenues United.

System 3 earned the Under 11 title with a 1-0 win over Layou FC. System 3’s goal was netted by Zibeon Cunningham.

Meanwhile, System 3 captured a second title that afternoon, blanking Largo Height 3-0. Rasheed Wallace, Renson Sayers and Shayne Lynch were on the score sheet.

Avenues United did not make it all System 3, as they added the Under-19

title to the senior men’s Premier Division.

Garret Leigertwood scored twice, including the winning strike and Shemar Welcome, the other, as Avenues United outscored System 3, three goals to two.

Zidane Solomon and Chad Fraser were the goalscorers for System 3.

In all, System 3 has netted three titles, having also copped the Women’s Division.
