Big wins registered in North Leeward Cricket Competition
Ajuba, Carlos James Troumaca Starlight, RSVG Police and Warriors all registered big wins last weekend at Petit Bordel Playing Field, as the 2017 VINLEC North Leeward T20 Cricket Competition rolled on.
On Saturday, Ajuba defeated Rose Bank United by 87 runs. Ajuba scored 177 for 9 off 16 overs at the cut-off time. Michael Joseph hit 30, Roneil Jeffery 29 and Husani Porter 26.
In reply, Rose Bank United were 90 all out off 12 overs. Stinson Ince top scored with 37. Roneil Jeffery took 2 for 13 and Reginald Jeffery 2 for 24.
Also, Troumaca Starlight whipped Big League of Rose Bank by 143 runs. Batting first, Starlight made 229 for 5 off 20 overs. Nicklan Alexander slammed 96 and Leshawn Lewis â 70, being the main contributors.
Bowling for Big League, Jadie John took 2 for 40.
Big League, in response, made 86 all out off 13 overs, with Curlan Thomas making 27 and Kuthbert Springer, 26.
Big Leagueâs batting was undone by the bowling of Dorson Cottle, who grabbed 5 for 31.
On Sunday, Police saw off Circumstance by 104 runs.
Desron Maloney hit 121, to lead Police to 247 for 5 off 20 overs. Romario Grant, 41 and Kenneth Dember, 36 not out, were the others who made good scores in Policeâs total.
Shenezia Daniel continued her good form with the ball, taking 4 for 67.
Circumstance, in reply, were 143 all out off 17.4 overs; Kenneth Samuel made 34 and Saville Murray, 28. Kevin Abraham bagged 5 for 20, bowling for RSVG Police.
And, Warriors recorded a 181-run victory over Rose Bank United. Warriors amassed 237 for 7 off 18 overs; Cklan Mc Kie struck 67, Deon Bynoe 44 and Kenard Forbes, 36.
Rose Bank United then were dismissed for 56 in just 9 overs, as Jeremy Haywood, 5 for 22 and Keron Cottoy, 4 for 18, did the demolition job with the ball.(RT)
