XXV CASA to serve off this weekend

The XXV Caribbean Squash Championship (CASA) kicks off August 13, at the National Squash Centre, Paul’s Avenue.

Over 100 squash players, representing seven Caribbean territories, will battle for Caribbean supremacy. Players will start arriving on Friday, August 11 from Barbados, Cayman, Bermuda, Jamaica, Trinidad, Guyana, BVI with SVG representing OECS.

MacGregor Sealey, manager of the National Lotteries Authority (NLA), the platinum sponsor, handed over cheque to president James Bentick and treasurer Dr Sherian Slater. The tournament has gold sponsor National Olympic Committee (NOC) and Digicel, with other cooperate sponsors from St Vincent and the Grenadines. 

The individual competition begins on August 13, with the finals following the opening ceremony on August 14. The team event of the competition will begin on August 15 and matches will continue until August 19.
