The second edition of the St Vincent Youth Soccer Cup concluded last Saturday at the Campden Park Playing Field.

Taking the Under-10 division were Layou, with Adare copping the Under-12.

Owia United won the Under-14 and System three took home the Under-16.

The week-long competition was part of an undertaking by Taiwo International, which operates out of the USA and provided support for the competition.

The competition’s main organizer is Vincentian student-athlete Shadel Cyrus, who completed her second year of college tuition at Ranger College in Texas.

Cyrus took up the offer to stage the Soccer Cup last year for the first time.

Reports are that the hope is to use the annual competition to provide a platform for Vincentian players for scouts from US colleges and universities to have a first-hand knowledge of their tactical and technical abilities.
