Two centuries highlight national Premier Division cricket’s resumption

Two centuries by Victors One’s batsmen Ray Jordan and Miles Bascombe, highlighted the resumption of the National Lotteries Authority Premier Division of the national cricket programme, after a three-week break for national Carnival celebrations.

Facing Carl Joseph Law Chambers ASCO, who has already booked their demotion ticket, at Arnos Vale Two, Jordan, known more as a fast bowler, slammed 105 and Bascombe, 101 not out, as Victors One posted 313 for 5 declared.

Kemson Dalzell took 2 for 54.

Victors One’s total was in reply to ASCO’s 66. Kimpson Dalzell, the other half of the Dalzell twins, had 4 for 13 and Norlan Williams 3 for 14.

ASCO, in their second innings, was 24 for 4. Kimson Dalzell took 3 for 16.

Victors One gained first innings honours.

Also taking first innings over their opponents were FLOW Radcliffe and Team Rivals.

At Sion Hill, Radcliffe scored 284 versus Police Two. Richie Richards, 98, Wayne Harper, 63 and Gidron Pope, 50. Kenneth Dember snared 5 for 82.

Police Two made 106, with Sylvanus Spencer scoring 23. Lindon James picked up 3 for 17; Delorn Johnson, 3 for 20 and Dyke Cato, 3 for 56.

And at Park Hill, Guardian General Saints posted 158, with Sunil Ambris making 68 and Romel Currency, 30.

Bowling for Team Rivals, Asif Hooper extended his tally of wickets, taking 5 for 48, Olanzo Jackson had 3 for 46.

In reply, Team Rivals, scored 202 for 5. Anson Latchman made 83 not out and Harley Skerritt, 63 not out. Sunil Ambris took 3 for 65 and Ray Charles, 2 for 34.
