Biabou Football League recognizes two stalwart contributors

The organizers of the Hairoun Biabou Football League have acknowledged the contribution of two persons who have given service to the success of the competitions over the years.

At the closing of the 2017 edition of the league, Hollis John and Sehon Joslyn were presented with tokens of acknowledgement.

John has contributed in several ways, having played in the league, served as an administrator and as a referee.

John’s plaque was presented to him for his 40 years of “tireless and dedicated work with the development of Biabou soccer”.

In the case of Joslyn, he has been described and the “handyman” and “Mr Dependable”, ensuring, for the past few years, that the implements for the matches are in place and secured.

Additionally, Joslyn keeps a keen eye for when the balls are kicked from the playing field and responds expeditiously for their retrieval.

A spokesperson for the organizers noted that the league will continue to pay homage to persons who have selflessly ensured that football in Biabou survives.
