Vincentians fill OECS team for senior CASA championships
Eleven Vincentians have been named in the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) team for the senior Caribbean Area Squash Association (CASA) championships.
Those selected are Greta Primus, James Bentick, Keith Boyea, Sherian Slater, Giana Miller- Alexander, Thandi Myers, Jules Snagg, Kevin Hannaway, Jason Doyle, Kai Bentick and Othneil Bailey.
Primus will contest the womenâs 40 and over and will also be part of the womenâs team, while Bentick will tackle the menâs 40 and over, Boyea, the 60 and over and Slater, the 50 and over.
Meanwhile, Miller-Alexander is part of the womenâs team, while Snagg, Hannaway, Doyle, Kai Bentick and Bailey, are selected in the menâs team.
Completing the OECS team are Caroline Du Bois, Neville Sorrentino, Daniela Schumann, Zoe Sorrentino, Joe Chapman and Joe Faragher-Kneipp, all from the British Virgin Islands.
Du Bois is part of the womenâs 40 and over, as well as the womenâs team, while Neville Sorrentino is listed in the menâs over 50.
Schumann and Zoe Sorrentino complete the womenâs team selectees, with Joe Chapman and Faragher-Kneipp, joining the five Vincentians that compose the menâs team.
The teamâs manager is Mark Chapman of the British Virgin Islands.
St Vincent and the Grenadines will host the senior CASA championships, which will be sponsored by the National Lotteries Authority. The championships are set for August 13-19.
