Carrington to fully utilize Level Two TT certification

Joseph Carrington plans to make full use of his recent certification as a Level Two International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) coach.

A table tennis coach for the past 12 years, Carrington was elevated to Level Two status, after completing 50 hours of coaching, five supervised and 45 unsupervised.

Carrington noted that following the Level Two course last year, done under the tutelage of ITTF expert Georg Silberschmidt, he set about gaining certification.

The course was part of the Development of a National Sports Structure (DNSS) for table tennis.

“It is something that I always wanted, but I know that going to the Level Three will not be easy,” Carrington acknowledged.

Currently attached to the Department of Physical Education and Sports, in the Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture – Carrington said that he is energized with his attainment.

Apart from Carrington, Sean Stanley and Rodney Caruth are the other recipients of the Level Two certification.

Carrington also holds a Diploma from the Pan American Sports Organization (PASO) Continental Course in Table Tennis in Havana, Cuba in 2003.
