NLA First Division Sunday League gaining intrigue

Providence Electronic Solutions North Leeward, Ruddy’ Electrical Unique Warriors and Belfongo were all buoyant in the latest matches of the National Lotteries Authority First Division, referred to as the “Sunday League”.

At the Buccament Playing Field, North Leeward enhanced their position in Group A, by defeating Victors Two by 129 runs.

Benniton Stapleton, 53, and Michael Joseph, 50, were the main scorers in North Leeward’s 269 for 9 from 35 overs.

Bowling for Victors Two, Kishore Shallow took 3 for 47, Leon Quashie, 2 for 34 and Adinol Richards, 2 for 55.

Victors Two in reply was humbled for 140 in 22.2 overs. Javon Samuel snared 4 for 39, bowling for North Leeward.

In Group B, Ruddy’s Electrical Unique Warriors had a six-wicket win over Glamorgan at Arnos Vale Two.

Glamorgan reached 84 for 8 in 26.1 overs. Parnell Browne took 5 for 21 and Joseph Medford, 2 for 26, bowling for Unique Warriors.

Jelano Neil, 36 not out and Bill Edwards, 35, powered Unique Warriors to 89 for 4 in 12 overs.

Godfrey Brewster picked off 3 for 52, bowling for Glamorgan.

And, Belfongo got past Combine Youths by 29 runs at Stubbs.

Belfongo scored 148 all out in 29 overs. Oswald Soleyn hit 32 and Joel Patterson, 26.

For Combine Youths, Geron Wyllie took 2 for 22, Javed Cordice, 2 for 28 and Nickie Antoine, 2 for 36.

Combined Youths’ response was insufficient, dismissed for 119 in 24 overs.

Nickie Antoine top scored with 35, as Travis Cumberbatch bagged 5 for 14 and Rajiv Roberts, 4 for 35, bowling for Belfongo.

Sunday’s matches pit Triumph United versus Strike Eagles at the Park Hill Playing Field; Radcliffe Too meet Smashers at Stubbs, Prime Consulting Marriaqua take on Glamorgan United at Buccament Bay, with Ruddy’s Electrical Unique Warriors and French Verandah SVG Community College, squaring off at Arnos Vale Two.
