GTC Top 16 tennis tournament to conclude tomorrow

Khir Huggins and Akeem Guy will contest Saturdayâs final of the Lewis Pharmacy/CK Greaves Grassroot Tennis Clubâs Top 16 competition, after semi-final wins yesterday, at the Grand View hard court in Villa.

Huggins side-stepped Fidel Quammie 4-2, 4-1, while Guy ousted John Davies 4-2, 4-3, in a tie breaker, to set up Saturdayâs duel.

The final is slated for 3 p.m. and the closing ceremony one hour later.

Saturdayâs closing ceremony, which has been reset from last Saturday, because of rain, will also have a fund-raising component, which will be in aid of the St Benedictâs Day Nursery at Georgetown, as well as a kidney patient.
