SVGBF gets basketball equipment from former national captain

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Basketball Federation (SVGBF) was recently presented with a package of basketballs, pumps and needles – gifts from former national captain Glenroy “Mandrill” Jones.

Based in New York, USA, Jones, who is from Union Island, said he has a passion for the development of the sport in his native land, hence his insistence on making such contributions.

Jones noted that basketball played an important part in his personal development, hence his assistance is a way of giving back to the youths.

Jones added that whenever time permits, he will continue to give of his expertise and promised to return during the July-August vacation to contribute to the SVGBF youth programme.
