Hill View Softball Cricket Competition reaches quarter-finals

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Teachers Co-operative Credit Union’s 20/20 Softball Cricket Competition enters its quarter-final stage this weekend at the Keartons Playing Field.

Reaching the elimination stage of the competition are RSVG Police, Warriors, Hill View and Police Youth Club from Group A and from Group B are Dr Thomas Injectors, Prisons, Summerset and Glen United.

The match-ups, therefore, pit RSVG Police versus Glen United, Warriors against Summerset, while Hill View face Prisons and Dr Thomas Injectors take on Police Youth Club.

The preliminary round of the competition concluded last Sunday.

Buccament and Sand Crab failed to show for their fixture and RSVG Police won by default from Young Blood.

But in actual play, Warriors recorded a five-wicket win over the Police Youth Club.

Batting first, Police Youth Club were dismissed for 68. Rondell Skinner took 3 for 20 and Calvert Simon, 2 for 6.

Warriors then replied with 69 for 5 from 10.5 overs. Adonis Nanton led the successful run chase, with 25.

Bowling for Police Youth Club, Kezron Williams picked up 2 for 14.
