Local gymnastics club secures silver medals at Barbados Invitational Gymnastics meet
Gymnasts attached to the locally-based group Dolphin Gymnastics managed to cop silver medals at the 2017 Caribbean Gymnastics Championships and the Barbados Invitational Gymnastics meet, which were held in Barbados from April 28-29.
The three teams making up Dolphin Gymnastics, with less than 17 months training, were rewarded as silver medallists in levels 1, 2 and 3 in the overall team awards.
Level One team competitors consisted of 18 members, 15 of whom were new to competition, while the Level Two team of seven members also did the country proud.
Dolphin Gymnasticsâ most experienced gymnasts were the six members of the Level Three team, who displayed strength and poise and as a result led the team to the highest finish in its short history.
The Level One team is made up of Trinity Browne, Nia Forde, Lau Browne, Adejah Charles, Jordane Charles, Junyah Devonish, Lydia Sutherland, Latisha Sutherland, Lisha Beache, Xia Glass, Eliszabeth Ralph, Bethany Scott, Summer Defreitas, Leanna Bailey, Siana Black, Samara Haynes, Apphia Soleyn and Jé Sharia Munroe.
The Level Two team is made up of Dakia Child, Jasmine McLawrence, Myracle Doyle, Ariel Fraser, Najah Lewis, Dajea Ollivierre and Skye Williams.
The Level Three team is made up of Saskia Truchot, Abigail Deshong, Jaynika Williams, Chiamaka Jackson, Adiah Phillips and Ciara Jeffers.
