Five more teams win in PCCU Softball weekend

Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem, Sion Hill Tallawahs, Log Enterprise Supreme Strikers, RSVG Police and CGM Gallagher Novice were all triumphant last weekend in the SVG Police Co-operative Credit Union Clinchers T20 Softball Cricket Competition at the Richland Park Oval.

On Saturday, Nar Fren Dem were easy victors when Carriere Blazers failed to show up for their match.

In the second match, Sion Hill Tallawahs beat Shop for Less, Nice Radio Clinchers Two by 40 runs.

Sion Hill Tallawahs made 154 for 8 from 15 overs. Erwin Williams scored 41 and Shamic Roberts, 36.

Clinchers Two replied with 114 for 7 from 15 overs, with Javeed Williams stroking 40.

On Sunday, Log Enterprise Supreme Strikers defeated Calder United by 57 runs.

Supreme Strikers made 99 for 8 from 20 overs, then dismissed Calder United for 42 from 12.1 overs.

Also on Sunday, RSVG Police beat Snipers by seven wickets.

Snipers got to 93 for 6 from 15 overs, as Raffique Sayers was the top scorer with 38.

RSVG Police replied with 97 for 3 from 7.2 overs, Desron Maloney making 39 not out.

And, Novice had a 34-run win over Xtreme.

Novice posted 154 for 8 from 20 overs. Roderick John led with 35, while Ethano Trimmingham had 4 for 33. Xtreme scored 120 in 20 overs, as Kevin John, with 4 for 16, was the pick of Novice’s bowlers.

The Coreas Distributors Player of the Weekend was Erwin Williams of Sion Hill Tallawahs for his innings of 41.
