Curtains come down on 2017 business houses table tennis tournament

The 2017 Firms and Industrial Table Tennis Tournament concluded last Saturday night at the West St George Secondary School’s auditorium.

Coreas and Hazells, represented by Nixon Louis and Terrance Marksman, eased past the trio of Jamai Williams, Giles Garraway and Tyrone Jack of TJ Supplies, to emerge team champions.

Louis beat Williams 11-9 11-8 11-6 and had an 11-5, 11-4, 11-4, downing of Jack, while Marksman saw off Jack 11-2, 11-13, 11-3, 11-3.

TJ Supplies lone win was gained by Garraway, who won from Kevin Dickson by default.

Louis took the singles title, in a hard fought duel with Marksman. Louis trumped 11-7, 11-7 11-6, 6-11, 9-11, 12-10.

UWI Open Campus, Searchlight Newspaper, Pan American Life, Xtreme, Grenadines Construction, FLOW and Computec/Irie Travel, were the other participating units in the team championships.
