FOSH Inc assists Vincentian Penn Relays teams

The 15 athletes who were part of the Thomas Saunders Secondary School and the St Vincent Grammar School at this year’s hosting of the Penn Relays, last weekend in the USA, were recipients of a pair of sneakers each, compliments Friends of Sion Hill Inc.

The sneakers were presented last Saturday at the University of Pennsylvania at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the 123rd hosting of the Penn Relays.

The students from the Thomas Saunders Secondary who benefitted from the Friends of Sion Hill’s gesture were Immanuel Henry, Atiba Duncan, Zenron Chance, Inglis Daniel, Joel Jack, Aaron Hazell and Mourice Foster.

Meanwhile, Javon Rawlins, Ethan Myers, Rasheed Fontenelle, Gian Luca Da Silva, Randolph Roberts, Jevonnie Lavia, Sage Primus and Zwicka Charles, were the recipients from the St Vincent Grammar School.

President of Friends of Sion Hill Inc Oxley Lowmans said that his organization responded to the request made by the two schools, and it was an easy decision.

Lowmans said that his organization is able to undertake such acts of giving as a result of the tremendous support that Vincentians and others give to the fund-raising ventures.

He said that its annual Black Tie Dinner and Awards ceremony held last month was well patronized and thanked all those who supported, thus helping FOSH to help others.

Lowmans revealed that FOSH will, on June 17, host its annual barbecue at the Friends of Crown Heights, located at 1435 Prospect Place, between Utica and Rochester Avenues in Brooklyn, New York.

The Friends of Sion Hill Inc was officially launched in June 2014.
