Youths gear up for ‘The Ultimate Football Experience’

Several local soccer players between the ages of 13 and 16 will tomorrow, Saturday, April 22, journey to the Victoria Park, where they will be given the chance-of-a-lifetime that can take them all the way to England.

The teens will participate in telecommunications company FLOW and English Premier League (EPL) club Manchester United’s “The Ultimate Football Experience”.

The talent development football camp, which will run from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., is a skills-based competition, supported by the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) and will choose the two best young footballers for a two-day camp in Trinidad next month.

While in Trinidad, the youngsters can earn a trip to Old Trafford, Manchester, to see Manchester United versus Crystal Palace on May 21, 2017.

The Trinidad leg will see the two participants, along with their respective coaches, experience one-on-one training with CFU and Manchester United Soccer School coaches. There, they will participate in a series of drills designed by the coaches and compete for the chance for two finalists and their coach to win the once-in-a-lifetime trip to Old Trafford in Manchester, England.

Tomorrow’s programme will be delivered by CFU coaches and is specially devised for the campaign. The programme is designed to build and test the skills of young footballers across the globe.

The Ultimate Football Experience is one of several Manchester United and Flow partnership initiatives.
