Young Vincentian footballers try for Manchester United experience

Young Vincentian footballers between the ages of 13 and 16 will converge on the Campden Park Playing Field this Saturday from 10 am.

But this will be no ordinary visit to the venue, as they will be seeking to be among the two to represent St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) at the FLOW Ultimate Football Experience in Trinidad and Tobago.

The Vincentian hopefuls will be tested in the areas of speed, dribbling, ball juggling and shooting.

The tabulation of the score will be based on individual times and ability to control the ball.

The two selectees, along with their coaches and guardians should travel to Trinidad and Tobago next month to pit their skills against others in the region.

There, they will all vie for the ultimate prize of a trip to Manchester United in England.

The 15 countries contesting for the ultimate prize are Barbados, Dominica, BVI, Curacao, Montserrat, Trinidad, Grenada, Cayman, Jamaica, Antigua and Barbuda. Anguilla, St Lucia, St Kitts and Nevis, Turks and Caicos Islands and St Vincent and the Grenadines.
