Teams make big deposits in PCCU Softball Cricket Competition

Five teams took wins to the bank last weekend in the SVG Police Cooperative Credit Union Clinchers T20 Softball Cricket Competition at the Richland Park Oval.

Making deposits were C.G.M Gallagher Novice, Owia Young Strikers, Bank of SVG Allstars, Gairy Construction Simple Boyz and Israel Bruce Law Chambers Smashers.

On Saturday, Novice defeated Calder United by 58 runs, to be first in the line.

Novice scored 116 for 6 from their 20 overs. Calder United replied with 58 all out in 16.2 overs.

In Saturday’s other fixture, Owia Young Strikers got by Snipers by eight wickets.

Snipers mustered 54 from 13 overs, to which Onia Young Strikers responded with 55 for 2 in 6.4 overs.

On Sunday, Bank of SVG Allstars defeated Smart Strikers by 51 runs.

Allstars made 112 in 18.2 overs, as Aldy Spring bagged 5 for 7. Smart Strikers fell for 61 in 17.4 overs, with Kelique Samuel taking 3 for 10.

Meanwhile, Simple Boyz had the better of Carriere Blazers by nine wickets.

Carriere Blazers packed in for 29 in 10.4 overs. It took Simple Boyz only 3.4 overs to reach 34 for 1.

And, Smashers outlasted Gairy Construction Stingers by five wickets. Stingers made 82 all out in 19.2 overs and Smashers replied with 83 for 5 from 14.1 overs to register the win.

Coreas Distributors’ Player of the Weekend was Aldy Spring of Smart Strikers, for taking 5 for 7 against Bank of SVG Allstars.
