PCCU Clinchers Softball Cricket Competition hosts packed weekend

The 2017 St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Co- operative Credit Union Clinchers T20 Softball Cricket Competition continued last weekend at the Richland Park Oval with a full complement of five matches.

Trumping were Country Meet Town Out ah Trouble Two, Fully Loaded Ballerz, Dr Thomas Injectors, Extreme and Bank of SVG All Stars.

On Saturday, Country Meet Town Out ah Trouble Two defeated Mount Pleasant by 61 runs.

Out ah Trouble Two made 144 for 5 off 20 overs. Marvin Harry stroked 86,

with 9 fours and 6 sixes.

Jerome James took 3 for 25. Mount Pleasant replied with 83 in 20 overs, Carlton Woodley took 3 for 6 and Esron Duke, 3 for 21.

Fullyloaded Ballerz got past Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem by 38 runs. Fullyloaded Ballerz scored 100 off 20 overs. Sea Operation Nar Fren Dem then replied with 62 all out off 13.4 overs. Kentish Pompey took 3 for 18.

On Sunday, Dr Thomas Injectors defeated Smart Strikers by 52 runs.

Dr Thomas Injectors made 153 for 5 from 20 overs. Verold Henry, smashed 4 sixes and 3 fours in his 40, Desroy Lavia struck 4 sixes and a four in his 30, while Damion Allen’s 28 saw him hitting a four and 3 sixes and Kesron Ashton laced 2 fours and 3 sixes in his 26.

Smart Strikers were 101 all out in 12.1 overs. Britnol Scott made 43, in which he lashed 3 fours and 5 sixes, while Javorn Nero grabbed 4 for 15.

Extreme got the better of Log Enterprise Supreme Strikers by 45 runs. Extreme scored 116 for 8 from 20 overs. Kester Garrick smashed 6 fours and 3 sixes in making 51. Ozande Baptiste picked up 3 for 7.

Log Enterprise Supreme Strikers were 71 all out in 16.3 overs.

And, Bank of SVG All Stars defeated Israel Bruce Law Chambers Smashers by 69 runs. Allstars reached 116 for 6 from their 20 overs.

Nyron Da Souza stroked 43, in which he clubbed 6 sixes and 3 fours and Asquith Mapp, 36, including 2 fours and 3 sixes. Bowling for Smashers, Kenford Collins had 3 for 5.

Smashers were dismantled for 47, with Desmond Bramble taking 4 for 7.

Player of the Weekend was Marvin Harry for his innings of 86 for Country meet Town Out ah Trouble Two.
