Victors One stays tall over Team Rivals in national 20/20 final
Victors One strolled past Team Rivals last Saturday, on their way to throne of kings of National Lotteries Authority Neil Williams Twenty/20 cricket competition.
The Sion Hill Playing Field was the venue for Victors Oneâs four wicket triumph.
Winning the toss, Victors One inserted Team Rivals, a decision which proved correct.
Team Rivals withered to 92 for 9 from their 20 overs. Deighton Butler struck 1 four and 1 six, in his topscore of 30, and was the lone batsman to get into double figures.
Bowling for Victors One, Norlan Williams took 3 for 14 and Kimson Dalzell had 2 for 12.
Victors One though made a mountain out of the response, taking 18.1 overs before crossing the line at 96 for the loss of six wickets.
Captain Donwell Hector led from in front, shepherding the middle order after an earlier wobble. Hector punched 3 fours and 2 sixes in his 36.
Deighton Butler was Team Rivalsâ most successful bowler, taking 2 for 6, from four miserly overs. For his 4 for 3 for 14, bowling for Victors One, Norlan Williams was declared player of the match.
