Georgetown Secondary aim again at schools’ volleyball double

The Georgetown Secondary School will once again take aim at the double when the schools’ volleyball titles are decided this Friday at the Girls’ High School court.

Standing in their way are the Girls’ High School in the female division and first time finalist in the male segment – West St George.

To reach another female final, Georgetown Secondary overpowered West St George 25-15, 25-12, while the males had to come from behind to oust the George Stephens Senior, 14-25, 25-18, 15-8, as that match went the distance of three sets.

The Girls’ High School, last year’s runners-up, defeated the Thomas Saunders Secondary 25-13, 25-21 to set up another showdown with the Georgetown institution.

And, in the other male semi-finals, West St George held off the Petit Bordel Secondary, 25-20, 25-17.

The third place play-offs in the competition are down to be completed today, Tuesday, also at the Girls’ High School court facility.
