SVGCA, WICB to hold Foundation Cricket Course
The St Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association (SVGCA), in conjunction with West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), will be holding a WICB Foundation Cricket Course at Arnos Vale Playing Field at the Presidentâs Suite, June 29 and 30, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.{{more}}
Two WICB officials will be in attendance and will assist with the supervision of the course.
Territorial Development officer Irvin Warrican has conducted similar assessments of coaches for this course in other Caribbean islands.
Warrican is also the lead coordinator for this programme in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
This Foundation Course will be targeting the 30 Kiddy Cricket Coaches in various Primary Schools throughout the country.
Topics to be covered in the course are Coaching Partway, Foundation Course, Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 and Tutor/Assessor course.
Prerequisites for this course are a clean Police Record, a Child Protection Certificate and a First Aid Certificate from a recognized organization.(RT)
