Middlesex, Cavaliers, Imperial stay perfect in BCL

Vincentian teams Middlesex, Cavaliers and Imperial have so far, in the 2015 Brooklyn Cricket League (BCL), gone unbeaten.

But either Middlesex or Cavaliers will lose that status this Sunday, when they go face-to-face at Marine Park C, while Imperial may extend their run when they take on Pak Brighton at Marine Park B on Saturday.{{more}}

The trio extended their record last weekend to three from three.

Middlesex sank Pak Brighton by 220 runs at Seaview.

Rawle Jackman’s 104 not out, Rod Michael – 53 and Treldon Mc Millan – 32, combined to see Middlesex to 278 for 6 from their 35 overs.

In reply, Pak Brighton was shot out for 58. Bowling for Middlesex, Dominic Audain took 3 for 8, Lester Benn – 2 for 4 and Leon Hyde – 2 for 13.

In extending their wins, Cavaliers saw off last year’s winner, St Lucia, by six wickets.

St Lucia batted first and were dismissed for 156, as Selwyn Caine snared 3 for 8, Dawnley Grant – 2 for 33 and Ezekiel Williams and Arlin Hinds both had 2 for 35.

Cavaliers, on the back of Arlin Hinds’ 54 and Albert Tesheira’s 26 not out, reached 160 for 4.

And, Imperial beat St Lucia on Sunday at Marine Park C; however, details of the match are unavailable.

Before taking on Middlesex on Sunday, Cavaliers meet Miami Power at Marine Park A on Saturday, with the other Vincentian unit, Queensbury, taking on Yankee at Marine Park C and at Seaview and Middlesex engage Janoon.

On Sunday, Queensbury oppose Miami Power at Marine Park B.
