Quarter-finalists determined in national First Division cricket
The eight quarter finalists in the National Lotteries Authority First Division of the national cricket competitions have been declared.{{more}}
In the mix are Robertsonâs Surveying Belmont, Ruddyâs Electrical Unique Warriors, Combined Youths, Police One, Victors Two, Ishallz Byamâs Physical Therapy, Prime Consulting Marriaqua and Smashers.
The first set of play-offs takes place this Sunday, with Belmont meeting Unique Warriors at Park Hill and at Arnos Vale Two, Combined Youths engage Police One.
When the last set of preliminary matches was contested last Sunday, Unique Warriors, Smashers and Police One gained victories.
At Stubbs, Ruddy Electrical Unique Warriors beat Ishallz Byamâs Physical Therapy by 156 runs in a match reduced to 45 overs.
Unique Warriors reached 330 for 8 off 38 overs when umpires closed their innings.
Veteran batsman Sylvannus Vanloo hit 138 and Lenron George 39.
Bowling for Ishallz Byamâs Physical Therapy, Javid Harry had 3 for 38 and Imran Samuel 2 for 64.
Ishallz Byamâs Physical Therapy made 174 off 28.1 overs; Imran Samuel hit 69 and Javid Harry, 45. For Unique Warriors, Joseph Medford took 3 for 37.
Smashers defeated Belfongo by 169 at Buccament.
Smasher made 245 off 37 overs, with Cuthbert Springer making 62; Courtney Joyette slammed 50; and Ronald Scott, 36.
Bowling for Belfongo, Kemroy King snared 3 for 47 and Travis Cumberbatch, 3 for 65.
Belfongo responded with 76 off 19 overs, undone by the bowling of Javon Samuel with 4 for 20, Jordon Corridon, 2 for 12 and Courtney Joyette, 2 for 16.
And, Police One gained easy points via the default route over Georgetown Combined, in a match that was to be played at Park Hill.
