Vincentian athletes show at Police Week of Athletics

The two Vincentian athletes who were part of Trinidad and Tobago’s 92nd Police Week of Athletics returned very good performances.

Able-bodied seaman Josh Hamilton was the more outstanding, as he won the 60m, 100m and 200m. He also placed third in both the javelin and the shot putt events.{{more}}

Meanwhile, another member of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Coastguard, Shantell Compton, after placing first in the female segment of the 5k road race, took to the track to take gold in the 1,500m.

Compton also copped three bronze medals in the 800m, 400m and the 200m. She finished fourth in the 100m.
