Police Two extend Triumph United’s miserable run

Police Two trumped over Triumph United and Victors One gained first innings points over Carl Joseph Law Chambers ASCO in a drawn game, as two matches in the National Lotteries Authority Premier Division of the national cricket programme were contested last weekend.{{more}}

At Sion Hill, Police Two did not only redeem themselves after two successive defeats, but also extended Triumph United’s winless streak, beating them by nine wickets.

Triumph United made 121, batting first, with Rohan Ash the lead batsman with 59.

Bowling for Police Two, Romario Bibby took 4 for 25 and Elmore Alexander 3 for 50.

Mc Leon Williams then stroked 71, Marcus John – 40 and Kevin Abraham – 37, as Police Two posted 227 for 8 declared in reply.

Keroy Roberts grabbed 5 for 64 and Rohan Ash 2 for 51, to share the honours with the ball for Triumph United, who, batting a second time, made 123.

The bowling fortunes were reversed as Elmore Alexander led with 4 for 28, Romario Bibby 3 for 23 and Kenneth Dember 2 for 41.

Police Two scored 19 for 1, to ease to a comprehensive win.

At Arnos Vale One, ASCO were run over for 93 in their first innings, to which Victors One replied with 132.

For Victors One, Miles Bascombe hit 37 and Donwell Hector 30.

Andre Hunte was the pick of ASCO’s bowling, bagging 6 for 37 and Antonio Barker 2 for 38.

ASCO fared better batting a second time, as they made 212.

The principal scorers were Desron Maloney, 56, and Derron Greaves, 53. Sharing the wickets for Victors One were Norlan Williams, 4 for 40, Shaquille Browne, 2 for 37 and Alex Jessop, 2 for 52.

Victors One, chasing 108 for an outright win, were 66 for 3 at the close of play.
