The left-handed King had his sub of the day when he won from Arnel Horne 6-4, 6-1in the champion match.

The win was a crowning moment for King, who had already taken the doubles title, with Taj Ballantyne being his side order.

The losing finalists then were the pair of Akeem Guy and Kyle Hall.

But Guy did not leave the tournament empty-handed, as he turned foe to Hall and showed no mercy on his doubles partner, beating him 6-3, 6-3, in the over-18 singles final which wrapped up last Saturday’s proceedings.

King and Guy joined other winners who were determined prior to Saturday’s finale.

Richard Hoyte won the Male Under-16 title, leaving Luke Browne as the runner-up.

One half of the Benn twins, Gabrielle, tucked away the Under-16 and Under-18 singles titles.

On both occasions, the other half of the sisters, Amarlia, was the runner-up.

Meanwhile, Myka Williams took the Females Under-14, ahead of Briana Nash, who was second.(RT)
