Imani King will be looking to add more jewels to his crown when the Subway Junior Tennis Tournament closes off this Saturday at the National Tennis Centre at Villa.{{more}}
Having already taken the Male Open Doubles in partnership with Taj Ballantyne, King will
have Arnel Horne as his opponent in the Singles final.
King, in the semi-finals, walked over Richard Hoyte, 6-0, 6-0, and Horne beat Ronnie Richardson, 6-2, 7-6.
Last Saturday, King and Ballantyne ousted Akeem Guy and Kyle Hall, 6-3, 7-5, en route to their Doubles win.
In the semi-finals, King and Ballantyne stopped the pair of Arnel Horne and Richard Hoyte, 6-2, 6-4, while Guy and Hall had a 6-4, 7-5 triumph over Garfield Mayers and Akeizo Quammie.
Also decided last Saturday was the Male Under-16 Singles, which saw Richard Hoyte trumping 6-2, 6-4 over Luke Browne. Before getting to the championship match, Hoyte saw off Horne 6-3, 6-3, while Browne had registered a 6-4 win in the first set, before Miguel Francis retired in the second.
Also to be decided this Saturday is the Male Over-18 Singles final, with Akeem Guy and Kyle Hall set to battle it out.
The closing ceremony and presentation of awards will follow the two finals.(RT)
