Thomas Saunders Secondary retake female division
The Thomas Saunders Secondary School regained the female division of the Inter Secondary Schoolsâ Track and Field Championships, doing so with some measure of dominance last Wednesday at the Arnos Vale Playing Field.{{more}}
The 10-year-old institution tabulated 273 points, which was way ahead of their nearest rival â the 103-year-old Girlsâ High School, which scored 193 points.
It was a return to the top spot for the Thomas Saunders Secondary, who last year were toppled by the St Josephâs Convent Kingstown.
The top three was completed by the Central Leeward Secondary, with 189 points, as the St Josephâs Convent Kingstown slipped to fourth, on 182 points.
Deslorn Lawrence of the St Josephâs Convent Kingstown claimed the senior title and the Victrix Ludorum. Lawrence compiled 39 points.
The standout female in the Junior Division was the Bethel High Schoolâs Shannel Lampkin, who punched in 26 individual points.
And, the emerging Shantell Williams of the Girlsâ High School took the Intermediate Champion title with 27 points.(RT)
