Vincy Heat off to Barbados for two football friendlies

Two friendly international matches at the Barbados National Stadium against the host country will give St Vincent and the Grenadines’ senior men’s Football team – Vincy Heat, their first test as they prepare for World Cup Qualifiers.

Having assembled for training over the past six weeks, the Vincentian footballers will be using the Barbados sojourn to test how much has been achieved during that period.{{more}}

Huggins stated that the 19-member team, which is set to leave today Friday, will have two additional players in Emerald George and Myron Samuel, who are both campaigning in the Barbados Football Association with the club Rendezvous.

The home based players who are making the trip are Dorren Hamlett, Nazir Mc Burnette, Shorn Lowman, Mourlle Solomon, Tevin Slater, Kyle Edwards, Winslow Mc Dowald, Dwayne Dennie, Rohan Thomas Jr., Chavel Cunningham, Nazron Hoyte, Dennnis Prescott, Juma Gilkes, Glenford Ashton, Billy Jeffers, Lemus Christopher, Jolanshoy Mc Dowald, Oalex Anderson and Reginald Richardson.

Apart from Huggins, the management team also includes Wesley Charles – assistant coach, Kevin Richardson – goal keeper coach, along with Othneil Douglas – team manager, Dale Browne – fitness trainer and Keith Ollivierre – the technical director.
