Vincentian shines in China

Deano Williams representing Zhejiang University of Technology dominated the annual regional University Taekwondo competition during the weekend of December 5 in Zhejiang, China,{{more}} in the 60-66 kgs weight class. Williams recorded impressive wins in all his fights, only needing one round to dispatch his opponents.

The green belt Taekwondo enthusiast is a permanent fixture on his university team and was one of only two foreigners who took part in the competition. The other non-Chinese participant came from Brazil.

A former graduate of the St Vincent Community College and OAS-China scholarship award holder, Williams is pursuing studies in Electronic Engineering and Communications in China.
