WIFA says it’s now time for women

2015 will see the introduction of a women’s component to the revived Windward Island Football Association (WIFA) tournament. This decision was made by presidents of the sub-grouping at a meeting convened in St Vincent and the Grenadines on the weekend.{{more}}

Yoland London of St Vincent and the Grenadines was appointed Windward Island Football Association (WIFA) Women Committee chairperson.

The decision of WIFA presidents to introduce a women’s version of the WIFA Senior Men’s tournament was identified as a need for greater participation of teams in regional and international tournaments.

Next year’s tournament (2015) will be hosted by St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation.
