The 2013 champions will take aim this Sunday from 2 p.m. at the Greiggs Village Playing Field. Standing in Owia Young Strikers’ way is regular finalist Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem, who also fancy their chances of going all the way this time.

This Sunday’s final was set up following the semi-finals showdown, which took place on Sunday last.

Young Strikers overcame CGM Gallagher Novice in a thrilling match.

Novice, last year’s beaten finalist and the 2012 champions, lost out by one run.

Young Strikers batted first and scored 108 for 9 from their maximum 20 overs. Kent Lavia struck 34.

Andre Hunte collected 3 for 17 and Zane Edwards – 3 for 19, bowling for Novice.

Marcus Hackshaw then snared 3 for 14 and Rohan Lavia – 3 for 41, stifling Novice’s reply, as they folded for 107 all out in 17.4 overs.

Andre Hunte starred with the bat for Novice, hitting 24, but could not carry his team over the line.

Before them, Nar Fren Dem reached 111 for 6 from their 20 overs against Nice Radio Clinchers,

Kenford Collins hit a top score of 38.

In response, Clinchers were bowled out for 93 in 17.3 overs, despite Stein Joseph’s 34.

Clinchers were undone by the bowling of Glenford Woodley with 4 for 8 and Kenford Collins – 3 for 13. (RT)
