The battle bowls off this Sunday at the Park Hill and Stubbs Playing Fields.

At Park Hill from 10 a.m., Sion Hill faces off with Bequia Cricket Association and from 2 p.m. at the same venue, LOG Enterprises Kingstown put their title on the line, when they meet North East.

The other two matches at Stubbs pit Carlos James North Leeward versus St Vincent Co-operative Bank Ptani from 10 a.m., to be followed by Stanley Browne Stubbs against RSVG Police.

Last weekend saw the final set of the preliminary round taking place.

Registering wins were Stubbs, North East and North Leeward.

At Park Hill, Stubbs defeated Bequia by 117 runs.

Stubbs posted 190 for 6 from their 20 overs, led by Leon Samuel’s 60 not out and the consistent Christopher Campbell – 55.

In reply, Bequia was dismissed for 73 in 12.3 overs, as Micah Joseph rocked their batting, taking 4 for 10.

Also at the same venue, North East, like Stubbs, kept the unbeaten record intact, when they beat Computec Belfongo by 75 runs.

North East batted first and posted 144 for 4 off 17 overs, as the encounter was shortened because of rain.

The trio of Deighton Butler, Winsbert Springer and Arnols Gilkes, each scored 26.

Belfongo struggled to 69 for 8 from their 17 overs; Alpheaus Huggins top scored with 23.

Deighton Butler grabbed 4 for 5, bowling for North East.

And North Leeward grazed on Pastures by seven wickets.

Scores: Pastures 53 for 5 off 12 overs, as the game was reduced to 12 overs because of rain.

North Leeward raced to 59 for 3 off 5.5 overs; William Edwards slammed 32, not out. (RT)
