Three teams inch their way in Biabou Softball Competition

Smashers, Ravers and Shot Gun Eleven all won matches last Sunday in the Hairoun Beer Biabou T/20 competition at the Biabou Playing Field.{{more}}

Smashers of Lauders had an 85-run win over Simon Warriors. Smashers scored 131 for 9 in their 15 overs; Zyron Harry hit 62, which comprised six sixes and two fours and Delano Woodley, 26.

Shane Ford took 3 for 16. Simon Warriors replied with 46 in 9.5 overs, with Zyron Harry taking 5 for 17, Renrick Peters 2 for 9 and Keniel Richards 2 for 16.

Meanwhile, former champions Ravers conjured up a seven-wicket win over LOG Enterprises Supreme Strikers.

Batting first, Supreme Strikers were dismissed for 64 in 18.4 overs. Ranique Warren took 2 for 3 and Junus London 2 for 12, bowling for Ravers, who replied with 65 for 3 in 6.2 overs. Othneil Lewis top scored with 49. Glendon James took 2 for 16, bowling for Supreme Strikers.

And, Shot Gun Eleven had a 10-wicket win over Better Brand Supreme Stars. Supreme Stars could only make 47 in 10.1 overs; Hermus Garrick hit 30. Steve Bristol grabbed 3 for 6 and St Clair Dickson 2 for 3.

Shot Gun responded with 48 without loss in 5.4 overs; Valroy Pompey was 23 not out and Kazim Haywood 15. (RT)
