Maloney and Joseph hit tons in Biabou Softball Competition
Gairyâs Construction Simple Boysâ twin towers, Desron Maloney and Stein Joseph, each blazed a century last Sunday in the Hairoun Beer Biabou Twenty/20 Softball Cricket Competition.{{more}}
Maloney deposited 17 sixes to all parts of the Biabou Playing Field, including six in one over, as he blasted 115, while Joseph slammed 12 sixes and 5 fours in his 106 not out, to propel their team to 263 for 3 in 18 overs.
Maloney then grabbed 3 for 13, to send Smashers packing for 18 in 9.2 overs, as Simple Boys easily won by 245 runs.
There were also wins on that same day for Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem and Clinchers.
Nar Fren Dem had a 148-run win over Rate yo Boys Challengers.
Batting first, Nar Fren Dem chalked up 181 for 5 in their 20 overs; Shemic Roberts hit 91 and Mark Durrant â 39.
Joseph Stephens took 3 for 15 and Kenron Fraser had 2 for 16, bowling for Rate yo Boys.
In reply, Rate Yo Boys Challengers were dismissed for 32 in 9.4 overs; Elvin Jackson was the top scorer with 19, as Shemic Roberts bagged 5 for 3 and Sachin James 2 for 24.
And, Clinchers recorded a 148-run win over Log Enterprises Supreme Strikers.
Clinchers posted 193 for 5 in 20 overs, led by Okeiph Andrewsâ 79, while the trio of Oheyon Toby, Carlon John and Rajiv Roberts scored 28 each.
Supreme Strikersâ bowling saw Handel Antoine picking up 2 for 5.
But in response, Supreme Strikersâ resistance stopped at 44 in 13 overs.
Donwell Hector snared 3 for 12 and Peter Richards 2 for 9, bowling for Clinchers. (RT)
