Youngsters FC chase double titles in Barrouallie Football

Youngsters FC wants to do the double take in the Barrouallie Football League.The youthful outfit is in both the Bank of SVG League final and the Hairoun Beer Knockout final.{{more}}

They confirmed their league final berth last Saturday, when they ousted the 2013 winners – Regency Law Topsidaz.

It took a Deno John goal to settle the score between the two heavyweights of the football set-up in Barrouallie.

But the two teams, however, were guilty of not making good opportunities they created and those which were on offer.

It was the second time in succession that Youngsters FC was denying Topsidaz a place in a Barrouallie final.

Youngsters had upstaged Topsidaz 5-3 in kicks from the penalty spot in their semi-final clash in the Hairoun Beer Knockout Competition.

Youngsters will face System Three in the league final, set for this Sunday.

System 3 progressed ahead of Combine Youths 4-3 in kicks from the penalty spot on Sunday.

Regulation time had ended with both teams locked one goal apiece, Kevin Quow had given Combine Youths the lead, after which Omar Thomas equalized during the first half of play.

System 3’s victory was claimed as Jovan Lynch saved the last kick to send his team through.

Youngsters FC will be seeking their first piece of silverware when they meet Unlimited Strikers tomorrow Wednesday in the Knockout final, set for a 4:15 p.m. commencement at the Keartons Playing Field.(RT)
