Teams make good in Biabou Softball Cricket

Shot Gun Eleven, Ravers and Simon Warriors recorded wins over their opponents in last weekend’s matches of the Hairoun Beer Biabou Twenty/20 Softball Cricket competition at the Biabou Playing Field.{{more}}

Shot Gun Eleven had a six-wicket win at the expense of newcomer Outta Trouble.

Batting first, Outta Trouble was dismissed for 60 in 17.5 overs; Mickel Mapp top scored with 18.

Delorn Johnson had 4 for 6 and Gidron Pope 3 for 10, bowling for Shot Gun Eleven, who replied with 64 for 4 in 11 overs; Jerald Simmons hit 31 not out.

Shemroy Primus took 2 for 4 for Outta Trouble

Also on Sunday, 2012 winners Ravers beat Dr Thomas Injectors by 10 runs.

Ranique Warren struck 39 and Andre Lewis 21, to help Ravers to 115 for 6 in 18 overs. Chett Thompson, 2 for 16, was Dr Thomas Injectors’ most successful bowler.

Zimi Thomas then grabbed 3 for 19, Phillip Alvis 3 for 23 and Rawlson Nanton 2 for 26, which ensured that Injectors did not reach the target.

Injectors fell for 105 all out in 16.5 overs; Ron Adams had 24, Damien Allen – 22 and Quesnell Cottoy – 22.

And, on Saturday, Simon Warriors earned an easy win, as Street Fighters made a no-show.
