The 2013 champions made a hefty deposit when they opened their account, by defeating Better Brands Supreme Stars by 10 wickets.

Choosing to bat first turned out to be a decision which backfired on Supreme Stars, as they were bundled out for 63 in 9.4 overs.

Shaffeek Theobalds, with 25, was the principal scorer, as Cedric Thomas collected 3 for 3 in 1.4 overs.

All Stars, in their reply, made 67 for 1 in 6.1 overs; Keyon Boyea was 25 not out and Asquith Mapp, 15 not out.

The competition goes into first gear this Saturday and Sunday, when five matches are slated for completion.
